The Director General of Civil Protection inspects the progress of forest fire extinguishing operations on the ground.
The Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, traveled to the municipality of Beni Maouch in the state of Bejaia, to monitor the progress of the operations to extinguish the forest fires that affected the region, and to follow up on the efforts of the Civil Protection agents and the various services involved.
Where he received explanations about the progress of operations from the operational command center for coordination; after that, he monitored the progress of the extinguishing operations in the field, followed up on the efforts of the intervening teams, and evaluated the course of the intervention, in a way that ensures enhanced coordination and optimal harnessing of human and material capabilities to control fires.
The Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, then moved to the Beni Ourtilane district in Setif province, where he was briefed, at the mobile operational command center, on the progress of the operations to extinguish the forest fire that broke out in Mount Azrou, extending between the municipalities of Beni Ourtilane and Beni Chebana, northwest of Setif province.
The Director General received comprehensive explanations about the progress of the ongoing extinguishing operations, the human and material resources mobilized, and the level of coordination between the various stakeholders, along with field follow-up of developments in the situation and the efforts made to finally control the fire.
