Commemorating the sixty-fourth (64th) anniversary of Independence Day and the restoration of national sovereignty
In commemoration of the 64th anniversary of Independence Day and the restoration of national sovereignty, in tribute to the sacrifices of our righteous martyrs, and under the supervision of the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, the General Directorate of Civil Protection organized a national ceremony embodying pride in Algeria’s glorious history and reinforcing the values of loyalty, gratitude, and excellence within the Civil Protection family.
The ceremony began with the awarding of ranks to Civil Protection personnel who were promoted to higher ranks, either through professional examinations or by selection. The promotions encompassed 208 employees of the sector, reflecting the sector’s policy aimed at valuing human resources, enhancing skills, and motivating professional performance, which is considered a fundamental pillar in human resource development.
The occasion also included honoring a select group of Civil Protection athletes who won medals in various national and international competitions, in recognition of their honorable achievements that contributed to raising the sector’s profile and strengthening its sporting presence. During this occasion, a number of retired Civil Protection personnel were honored in recognition of their sacrifices and dedicated service to the nation and its citizens throughout their careers. This gesture reflects the institution’s commitment to upholding the values of appreciation and gratitude for those who have devoted years of service to their national duty.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection, through this national event, reaffirms its ongoing commitment to investing in its human resources and fostering a culture of recognizing competence and loyalty among its personnel. They are considered the cornerstone of enhancing the agency’s readiness and performance, enabling it to respond to various challenges and serve citizens under all circumstances, thus fulfilling its humanitarian mission of protecting lives and property.
In the same context, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, officially launched the final match of the Civil Protection Football Cup, held at the National Unity Training and Intervention Stadium.
The match brought together the teams from the Civil Protection Directorates of Batna and El Oued provinces, in a competitive atmosphere characterized by sportsmanship and camaraderie. The El Oued Civil Protection Directorate team emerged victorious, claiming the Civil Protection Football Cup.
Following the match, the Director General of Civil Protection presided over the medal ceremony for both teams, before the El Oued Civil Protection Directorate team was officially crowned champions of the Civil Protection Football Cup.
