As part of efforts to enhance international cooperation and the exchange of expertise in civil protection, a specialized training course on crisis management during emergencies concluded at the Civil Defense Academy of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM). Organized in coordination with the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), the course brought together officials and specialists from various member states.
Captain Ahmed Belghoul, Head of the Main Civil Protection Unit for the Sidi Bel Abbès province, represented the Algerian Civil Protection service at the training. Participants received both theoretical and practical instruction on crisis management mechanisms, the coordination of emergency response operations, and the protection of populations and property. The program also included simulation exercises and field visits to command and crisis management centers operated by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The course concluded with an official ceremony presided over by the Acting Head of the Academy, Major General Yevgeny Borisovich Kondratyev. He congratulated the participants on successfully completing the training program and emphasized the importance of fostering international cooperation and sharing expertise to address various risks and disasters, before presenting certificates of completion to the participants from the member states.
