With the arrival of summer and rising temperatures, the General Directorate of Civil Protection recommends exercising caution and following preventive measures to reduce the risk of forest fires.
- Don't throw cigarettes in the forests
- Do not throw trash from the car
- Do not throw flammable or fire-causing materials into forests.
- Prune and trim your trees
- Do not light barbecues in forests
- Do not approach the fire, do not move, and do not leave without a permit.

In the event of a fire, the following procedures must be followed:
- Close the doors and windows and wet the curtains.
- Close the gas cylinder valves.
- Head straight to your homes and solid buildings
- Clear the way and walkways and sprinkle the sides of the house with water.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection has made the green number 1021 or the emergency number 14 available to citizens to report any danger, specifying the nature of the danger and the exact address in order to ensure a quick and effective intervention.
