If you are stung by a scorpion, you should follow these steps:
- Call emergency services or go to the nearest clinic, hospital, or doctor.
- Reassuring the injured person and trying to keep them calm
- Do not absorb the poison; wash the affected area with soap and water.
- Remove rings, watch, and jewelry from the injured area.
- Do not use any painkillers or medications except after consulting a doctor.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection has made the green number 1021 or the emergency number 14 available to citizens to report any danger, specifying the nature of the danger and the exact address in order to ensure a quick and effective intervention.
