Warning Against Incorrect Uses of Burnt Gas Drainage Channels

Safe warmth………. Accident-free winter
Be careful of carbon monoxide gas
The heater and water heater must be equipped with proper and high-quality pipes and channels for exhausting combustion gases.
- Ensure that these devices are installed or maintained by a professional specialized in the field of stacking (holding a certificate of professional competence in sanitary and gas installation)
- The use of iron pipes in the channels for venting flared gases
- Check and clean chimneys, especially when there is suspicion that they may be clogged and that burning gases may be poorly drained, by changing the color of the heater stove flame to red instead of blue
- Ensure that the heater is connected to the internal gas network inside the house using a copper pipe and avoid connecting it using semi-rigid (flexible) pipes in order to ensure good installation of the heater, thus avoiding the risk of smoke drainage channels separating and avoiding gas leaks, thus avoiding any potential risk of suffocation explosion
- Ensuring good ventilation in all parts of the house, especially where these devices are located (foyer, kitchen...)
- Check your home heating and heating appliances daily before going to sleep
