Working meeting on updating knowledge and preparing for training in the field of rescue under the rubble

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the readiness and operational capabilities of Civil Protection teams, the Bouira Civil Protection Directorate hosted a working meeting dedicated to updating knowledge and preparing for training in the field of rubble rescue operations.

The meeting was overseen by the Bouira Civil Protection Director, with the attendance of the Head of the Intervention Office from the General Directorate of Civil Protection, alongside senior officers and instructors.

The gathering provided an opportunity to assess existing operational knowledge and skills and to exchange experiences. Discussions focused on the techniques and procedures used in search and rescue operations amidst rubble—specifically initial risk assessment, victim location, access and extraction techniques, and the use of specialized equipment.

The meeting also addressed preparations for upcoming training by identifying requirements and defining training modules. These steps aim to boost competence, readiness, and coordination during field interventions, particularly in situations requiring speed and precision in rescue operations.

This initiative aligns with the General Directorate of Civil Protection’s commitment to continuous training and professional knowledge updates, thereby strengthening personnel capabilities, improving intervention effectiveness, and safeguarding lives and property.
