Within the framework of embodying the scope of joint institutional cooperation between the General Directorate of Civil Protection and the National Gendarmerie Command, particularly with regard to enhancing coordination and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, a delegation from the National Gendarmerie Command made a working visit to the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Protection on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025.
The delegation began its visit by reviewing the various departments of the Operational Coordination Center, where it received a detailed presentation on the tasks assigned to this vital structure, the mechanisms for managing and following up on field operations, in addition to the pivotal role of the center in ensuring immediate coordination between the operational units of civil protection across the country, while providing explanations on the modern technical means adopted in real-time tracking and rapid intervention.
The visit also included a tour of the National Museum of Civil Protection, where the delegation learned about the development of the agency through various historical stations, and the means and equipment that formed part of the Civil Protection’s path in performing its humanitarian missions.
This field visit represented an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences between the two institutions, in a way that supports operational readiness and enhances joint coordination in facing various challenges.
