Civil Protection Units intervention results between April 14 and 15, 2026 (in the last 24 hours)

  

During the period from April 14 to 15, 2026 (until 8:00 am), civil protection units recorded 3,333 interventions at a rate of (01 intervention every 25 seconds), including 2,214 health evacuations and 597 different operations, across several states of the country, following receiving distress calls from citizens. These interventions included various areas of civil protection activities, whether related to traffic accidents, domestic accidents, health evacuations, Fire suppression, as well as security services.

In the context of traffic accidents, the Civil Protection Units carried out 150 interventions following several accidents recorded across several states of the country, which left 2 people dead at the scene of the accidents and 192 others injured with various and varying degrees of severity. The victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred by our services to local hospitals. The deadliest accidents were recorded in both the states of Oum El Bouaghi and Mostaganem. Oum El Bouaghi State: 01 people died and 03 others were injured, as a result of a collision between two trucks, at the level of National Road No. 100, Ouled Hamla Municipality and Ain Melilla District, Mostaganem Province: 01 people died, as a result of a collision between a car and a motorcycle, at the level of State Road No. 24 in the place called Rawouna Roundabout, Ben Abdelmalek Ramadan Municipality and Sidi Lakhdar District.
Civil protection services also intervened to provide first aid to 16 people who were suffocating as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide (Co) gas emitted from heating devices and water heaters inside their homes. In Constantine, 5 people were recorded, Relizane 4 people, Medea 3 people, El Bayadh 3 people and Naama 1 person. The victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred in stable condition to local hospitals Meanwhile, in the state of Constantine, the death of 1 person, aged 24, was recorded, poisoned as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide gas, emitted from the heater inside a hut in the place called Oyoun Al-Saad Hospital, Didouche Mourad Municipality, Hamma Bouzian District, and the victim’s body was transferred to the mortuary preservation center in Local hospital.
For your information, the Civil Protection Units intervened to extinguish 5 different urban fires in the provinces of Algiers, Sidi Bel Abbes, Mila, Tlemcen and Oran. Oran Province: 01 fire left 06 people with shortness of breath in the municipality of Ain Turk. Tlemcen Province: 01 fire left 04 people injured
