As part of the ongoing institutional cooperation between the General Directorate of Civil Protection and the National Gendarmerie Command, particularly concerning enhanced coordination and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, a delegation of senior officers from the National Gendarmerie Command paid a working visit to the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Protection.
The delegation began its visit by touring the various departments of the National Operational Coordination Center, where they received a detailed presentation on the tasks assigned to this vital structure, the mechanisms for managing and monitoring field operations, and the center’s pivotal role in ensuring real-time coordination between Civil Protection operational units across the country. Explanations were also provided on the modern technologies used for real-time tracking and rapid intervention. The visit also included a tour of the National Civil Protection Museum, where the delegation learned about the evolution of the agency through its various historical periods and the equipment and resources that have been integral to the Civil Protection’s humanitarian missions.
This field visit provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences between the two institutions, thereby enhancing operational readiness and bolstering joint coordination in addressing various challenges.
