Participation of the General Directorate of Civil Protection in the activities of the awareness-raising day to prevent accidents related to firearms products

The General Directorate of Civil Protection participated on Monday, August 24, 2026, in an awareness day on preventing accidents related to fireworks. Organized by the National Institute of Public Health, the event coincided with the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid). Representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, the Civil Protection, doctors, and representatives from various associations attended the event.

This gathering provided a platform for raising awareness about the dangers of the unsafe use of fireworks, particularly for children and young people. Presentations addressed religious, educational, social, medical, and preventative aspects, as well as the role of the Civil Protection in responding to accidents and mitigating their impact.

The importance of prevention was emphasized, along with the need to strengthen coordination among various sectors, organizations, and civil society to promote safe practices and ensure that the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday remains an occasion for joy and peace, free from risks and accidents.
