The Director General of Civil Protection inspects the progress of the operation to extract and rescue the child from inside an artesian well in El Bayadh province.
As part of the ongoing field monitoring of the operation to extract and rescue the 10-year-old boy who fell into a dry, uneven, and unsupported artesian well (metal pipes) in El Bayadh province, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, visited the site of the accident. He personally observed the progress of the operations to reach the child’s location.
The Director General reviewed the various stages of the operation, inspected the human and material resources deployed, and assessed the conditions under which the Civil Protection teams, experts, and specialized technicians were operating.
Drilling operations continue using various machinery and manual intervention, utilizing all available human and material resources and employing appropriate techniques by experts and technicians, given the challenging conditions and soil type, until the child is located and safely extracted.
