At the invitation of the Director General of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, General Vladimir Vlečík, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials including the Director of Studies at the Director General’s Office, Colonel Fouad Laalaoui; the Director of Prevention, Colonel Nachab Farid; the Director of Supply and Facilities, Colonel Nasseri Souad; and the Director of Civil Protection for the Blida Province, Colonel Mohamed Mokhtari, is undertaking a four-day official visit to the various departments of the General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service.
The delegation, led by Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, was received at the headquarters of the General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service by Director General Vladimir Vlečík.
During this visit, a tour of the various administrative and operational facilities of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic is scheduled. The Algerian delegation will also present an overview of the organizational structure and responsibilities of the Algerian Civil Protection Directorate General, the National Training and Intervention Unit, the National Operational Coordination Center, and how emergency relief efforts are organized and coordinated during major disasters. The Algerian experience in disaster management and response, as well as the state’s efforts to support victims, will also be presented, using the recent forest fires and floods as case studies.
The two sides also discussed avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise in disaster management.
On this occasion, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, extended an invitation to his counterpart, General Vladimir Velichik, to pay a working visit to Algeria.
