A training day for members of the Civil Protection delegation within the National Hajj Mission for the 2026 / 1447 season
As part of the thorough and meticulous preparations for the 2026/1447 Hajj season, aimed at ensuring optimal support and services for pilgrims in the Holy Sites, the General Directorate of Civil Protection is organizing a training workshop for Civil Protection personnel assigned to the Civil Protection detachment, along with officials from the National Hajj Mission representing various sectors, who are responsible for guiding and accompanying Algerian pilgrims. The workshop will be held under the supervision of the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, the Director General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, Professor Tahar Braik, and a representative of the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments.
This workshop will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the National Training and Intervention Unit in Dar El Beida. It is part of a proactive approach designed to enhance operational readiness and strengthen multi-sectoral coordination, thereby guaranteeing the best possible care for pilgrims throughout all stages of the Hajj rituals.
This training meeting will review and evaluate past experiences in terms of preparation, organization, and training, drawing lessons learned to implement qualitative improvements and inject new dynamism into operational mechanisms during the 2026 Hajj season.
The program will also include specialized practical training workshops for Civil Protection personnel and members of the national mission, covering the various tasks and duties assigned to them within the Hajj mission.
Furthermore, the meeting will focus on the organizational and operational procedures adopted in the centers of Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah, as well as at the holy sites, with the aim of standardizing work methods and adapting them to the specific characteristics of each location, thus ensuring the effective care of the pilgrims.
The organization of this meeting underscores the General Directorate of Civil Protection’s commitment to continuously developing its human and operational capacities and promoting a culture of professionalism and discipline, commensurate with the challenges associated with the Hajj season. It also reflects the Algerian state’s commitment to guaranteeing safe and comprehensive support for its pilgrims, in service of noble humanitarian values.
