ALG HUSAR 01 Urban Search and Rescue Reclassification Activities Launched

 
The reclassification activities of the search and rescue team in urban areas ALG HUSAR 01 were launched, under the supervision of the Director-General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Bouglaf, and in the presence of an elite group of international experts and observers from the General Secretariat of the United Nations Search and Rescue Advisory Body.
      These events began with a comprehensive presentation on the administrative and operational structure of the General Directorate of Civil Protection, which included a presentation of the various specialized teams, as well as the work system and response adopted to take care of various dangers, whether daily or major.
     A detailed presentation was also given on the Urban Search and Rescue Team, which was ranked internationally in 2017. The team leader reviewed its various components, its tasks, and its operational readiness.
In the same context, he gave a special presentation on the field exercise program scheduled to be organized this evening, which extends over 36 hours, and will be subject to careful evaluation by classified experts and international observers.
     The classified experts are expected to conduct comprehensive inspections of various administrative and logistical aspects, in addition to inspecting the equipment, material and human resources, as well as the level of organization and coordination of the search and rescue team, reflecting its readiness and professionalism in intervening during various emergency situations
 
  As part of the ongoing reclassification of the ALG HUSAR 01 Urban Search and Rescue Team
   The delegation representing international experts and observers, accompanied by executives from the General Directorate of Civil Protection, headed by the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Bouglaf, visited the National Coordination Center and the Civil Protection Museum, in addition to the Civil Protection Directorate of the State of Algiers.
    The delegation was briefed on the various platforms and applications of the National Coordination Center, adopted in managing various interventions and confronting major dangers, in a way that reflects the level of digital development and the effectiveness of operational follow-up and coordination systems.
    The delegation was also briefed on various exhibits that document the history of the agency and the stages of its development, through old means and equipment, pictures and an archive that highlights the efforts made to protect lives and property, reflecting the professional legacy and experience in the field of intervention and rescue.
    These visits allowed for a closer look at the operational coordination mechanisms adopted in managing the various interventions, as well as learning about the historical path of the Civil Protection Agency through the museum’s abundant exhibits documenting the stages of its development.
    The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight the organizational and logistical capabilities of the Civil Protection Directorate of the State of Algiers, and its pivotal role in supporting and coordinating intervention operations, especially in major cases.
 
 As part of the reclassification activities of the Urban Search and Rescue Team ALG HUSAR 01
    The delegation representing international experts and observers made an inspection visit to the various sites designated for conducting field exercises and maneuvers, where the readiness of these spaces and the extent of their compliance with approved international standards were determined.
    The visit also included an inspection of the search and rescue team’s warehouse in urban areas, where the delegation was briefed on the various equipment and operational supplies used for intervention, as well as the organization and storage methods that ensure rapid and effective response in emergency situations.
   In the same context, the delegation visited specialized teams, especially the technical team, where explanations were provided about their tasks in searching for missing persons under the rubble, methods of training trained dogs, in addition to highlighting their vital role within the system of intervention in major disaster incidents.
   These visits fall within the comprehensive evaluation program that aims to determine the readiness of the various operational components of the search and rescue team, in accordance with international standards.
