As part of the implementation of the integrated Arab training program for the assessment and management of maritime disasters and national capacity building—spanning risk understanding, the enhancement of preparedness and response, and knowledge transfer—and in accordance with the Arab program’s action plan for reducing maritime disaster risks, an international forum is set to take place. Hosted by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt, the event will run from September 21 to 24, 2026, with the participation of several Arab nations.It is also noteworthy that Algeria is participating in this forum through Major Metiri Djad, from the Civil Protection Directorate of El Tarf Province, and First Lieutenant Alich Djamel Abdelghani, from the Prevention Directorate at the General Directorate of Civil Protection.
