Civil Protection Units intervention results between April 11 and 12, 2026 (in the last 24 hours)

 During the period from April 11 to 12, 2026 (until 8:00 am), civil protection units recorded 3,191 interventions at a rate of (01 intervention every 27 seconds), including 1,814 health evacuations and 530 different operations, across several states of the country, following receiving distress calls from citizens. These interventions included various areas of civil protection activities, whether related to traffic accidents, domestic accidents, health evacuations, Fire suppression, as well as security services.

In the context of traffic accidents, the Civil Protection Units carried out 196 interventions following several accidents recorded across several states of the country, which resulted in the death of 9 people at the scene of the accidents and the injury of 234 others with various injuries of varying severity. The victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred by our services to local hospitals. The heaviest toll recorded in the state of Boumerdes was the death of 2 people and the injury of 4 others Following a collision between a car and a truck, on the east-west highway in the place called Ouled Wali, the municipality of Ar-Artaash and the district of Khamis Al-Khashna.

Civil protection services also intervened to provide first aid to 13 people who were suffocating due to inhaling carbon monoxide (Co) gas emitted from heating devices and water heaters inside their homes. In Batna province, 4 people were recorded, Tiaret 3 people, Guelma 3 people, El Bayadh 2 people, and Naama province 1 person. The victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred in stable condition to local hospitals.

For your information, the Civil Protection Units intervened to extinguish 05 different urban fires in the provinces of Tiaret, Ouargla, Saida, Ghardaia and Bordj Badji Mokhtar. These fires left 03 people with different burns in the province of Tiaret, as well as 05 people with shortness of breath, 02 other people in a state of shock and 01 other person with burns in the province of Saida The intervention of our services made it possible to control these fires and prevent them from spreading to other neighboring places.
Also, the civil protection services of Tiaret province intervened following a city gas explosion incident inside a ground floor residence consisting of (TA + 01), in the Al Amal neighborhood, Tiaret municipality and district, which caused 02 people to be injured. The two victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred to the local hospital.
