In the context of traffic accidents, Civil Protection units carried out 125 interventions following numerous accidents across several provinces of the country. These accidents resulted in the deaths of 4 people at the scene and injuries to 141 others, with varying degrees of severity. The most serious incident occurred in the province of El Meniaa: 2 deaths and 1 injury in a car rollover on National Road 51, in the municipality of Hassi El Gara, El Meniaa district.

Civil Protection services intervened to provide first aid to six people suffering from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning from heating appliances and water heaters in their homes. The victims were treated at the scene and transported in stable condition to local health facilities. Meanwhile, in Constantine province, two people (a man and a woman) died from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning caused by a heater in their home in the 1600-unit housing complex in El Khroub municipality and district. Their bodies were transferred to the morgue at the local hospital.

For your information, Civil Protection units intervened to extinguish four separate urban fires in the following provinces: Sidi Bel Abbès (one fire, resulting in one minor injury, three cases of respiratory distress, and four people in a state of shock); Khenchela (one fire, resulting in four people experiencing respiratory distress); Relizane (one fire, resulting in one woman sustaining minor burns); and El Tarf (one fire, resulting in one person experiencing respiratory distress).
