Civil Protection Units intervention results between February 25 and 26, 2026 (in the last 24 hours)

   

During the period from February 25 to 26, 2026 (until 8:00 am), civil protection units recorded 2,892 interventions at a rate of (01 intervention every 30 seconds), including 2,149 health evacuations and 406 different operations, across several states of the country, following receiving distress calls from citizens. These interventions included various areas of civil protection activities, whether related to traffic accidents, domestic accidents, health evacuations, Fire suppression as well as security services.

In the context of traffic accidents, the Civil Protection Units carried out 180 interventions following several accidents recorded across several states of the country, which resulted in the death of 5 people at the scene of the accidents and the injury of 236 others with various injuries of varying severity. The victims were taken care of at the scene of the accidents and transferred by our services to local hospitals. The bloodiest accidents were recorded in each of the states of Blida: Death of 01 person after being run over by a car in a place called “Hay El Bour Avoidance Road”, municipality and district of Miftah. As for the state of Tlemcen: Death of 01 person after an agricultural tractor overturned in a place called “Tasawir Lalla Aicha”, municipality and district of Sebdou. As well as in the state of Khenchela: Death of 01 person after being run over by an agricultural tractor, in a place called “Ratim”, municipality and district of Charchar. Also at the level of the state of Boumerdes: 1 person died in a collision between a car and a truck, on the bypass road “Zeralda – Boudouaou” in a place called “Samaidia” in the municipality of Hamadi and the district of Khemis El Khechna, in addition to that in the state of Mostaganem: 1 person died in a collision after being run over by a bus, in the neighborhood of Allouache Abdelkader, the municipality of Oued El Kheir and the district of Ain Tadles.

Civil protection services also intervened to provide first aid to 08 people who were suffocating as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide (CO) gas emitted from heating devices and water heaters inside their homes in the states of Saida 06 people and Medea (02) people, where the victims were taken care of on the spot and transferred in stable condition to nearby health centers.
