Civil Protection Units intervention results between June 10 and 11, 2026 (in the last 24 hours)

  

    During the period from June 10 to 11, 2026 (until 8:00 AM), Civil Protection units recorded 3,550 interventions (an average of one intervention every 24 seconds), including 2,064 medical evacuations and 530 other operations, across several provinces of the country. These interventions followed distress calls from citizens and covered various areas of Civil Protection activity, including traffic accidents, domestic accidents, medical evacuations, firefighting, and security operations.

Civil Protection units responded to various calls for assistance from citizens across several provinces of the country. In the context of traffic accidents, Civil Protection units responded to 225 incidents across various provinces of the country. These accidents resulted in 7 fatalities at the scene and 238 injuries of varying severity. The victims received on-site medical attention and were then transported by our services to local hospitals. The most serious incident occurred in Oran province, where 2 people died when a car veered off the road, overturned, and crashed into a tree on Provincial Road 35 in the municipality and district of Oued Tlelat.

Civil Protection units in Relizane province also responded to a landslide during construction work in the Douar El Hadjaidjia area of ​​El Kettar municipality and Mazouna district. This incident resulted in 3 injuries and 3 people suffering from shock. The victims received on-site medical attention and were then transported by our services to the local hospital.

Regarding the interventions of the Coast Guard and Recreation Service during the last 24 hours, they carried out 149 interventions, rescuing 105 people from imminent drowning and providing first aid to 35 people on site. Additionally, 9 people were transferred to local health centers. One drowning death was recorded in the Skikda province. The deceased was a 22-year-old woman who drowned at the beach known as Qurbaz Center 3 (a designated swimming area with a red flag), in the municipality of Djendel Saidi Mohamed, Azzaba district. The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue at Azzaba Hospital by Civil Protection personnel.


It should be noted that one drowning death was recorded in the Illizi province. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was recovered from a water reservoir in the area known as Mestani, within the municipality and district of Illizi. His body was transferred to the morgue at the local hospital.

Furthermore, during the same period, the Forestry and Agricultural Firefighting Service intervened to extinguish 39 vegetation fires, including 25 crop fires, one fruit tree fire, five hay bale fires, and eight palm tree fires, across several provinces nationwide. The rapid and effective intervention of our services allowed us to extinguish these fires and prevent their spread to other vegetation.
