Civil Protection Units intervention results between May 30 and 31, 2026 (in the last 24 hours)

  

    During the period from May 30 to 31, 2026 (until 8:00 AM), Civil Protection units recorded 2,796 interventions, averaging one intervention every 31 seconds. These included 1,850 medical evacuations and 408 other operations, across several provinces of the country, following distress calls from citizens. These interventions covered various areas of Civil Protection activity, including traffic accidents, domestic accidents, medical evacuations, firefighting, and security operations.

In the context of traffic accidents, Civil Protection units carried out 199 interventions following numerous accidents across the country. These accidents resulted in two (2) fatalities at the scene and injuries to 256 others, with varying degrees of severity. The victims were treated at the scene and then transported by our services to local hospitals.


For the record, the Civil Protection services intervened to extinguish two urban and industrial fires in the provinces of Oum El Bouaghi and Batna. These fires resulted in first-degree burns to one woman who suffered burns in a residential building in the area known as “Douar El Hazbri,” in the municipality and district of Ain El Fakroun, Oum El Bouaghi province. She received necessary first aid at the scene and was then transferred to the local hospital. The rapid intervention of our emergency services enabled them to control these two fires and prevent their spread to neighboring areas.

In addition, Civil Protection divers from Mila province recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy who drowned in a dam located in the area known as “Mchta Es-Sibari,” in the municipality and district of El-Kherroub. The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue of the local hospital.

In addition, the Civil Protection divers of the Illizi province intervened to recover (02) deceased persons in Wadi al-Dabdab near National Road No. 53, Dabdab municipality, In Amenas district. The victims’ bodies were transferred to the morgue of the local hospital.
