Director General Colonel Boualem Boughlaf on an inspection visit and inauguration of the operational structures in Setif Province

As part of the implementation of the General Directorate of Civil Protection’s annual program, which aims to enhance operational readiness and raise the level of performance of various administrative and operational structures across the country, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, accompanied by the Governor of Setif Province, will pay a working visit, inspect, and inaugurate the sector’s operational structures in Setif Province on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
This visit includes the inauguration of a number of new operational units and facilities where work has been completed, including the Civil Protection Secondary Unit in Saleh Bey “the late Mujahid Ali Shukri”, and the Muklan Secondary Unit “the martyr Bashir Shihani”.
The entry into service of these units represents a qualitative addition within the rapid intervention system, which will enhance operational coverage across the state, and contribute to effective response to requests for help and first aid and prevention of dangers, especially traffic accidents, domestic accidents and various other incidents.
The visit programme also includes an inspection of a number of other operational units, such as the main civil protection unit and the two secondary units in Ain Oulmane and Amoucha, where the Director General will see in the field the human and material capabilities provided, which ensure rapid and effective intervention in emergency situations and confronting disasters in various circumstances, especially in difficult areas.
During this visit, the Director General will hold direct meetings with executives and agents to assess daily working conditions and listen to their concerns and suggestions aimed at improving performance. He will also follow up on the implementation of training, operational, and preventive programs as part of efforts to develop and modernize the sector and to value human resources, which are the cornerstone of the success of civil protection missions and the diversity of their interventions.
This visit falls within the approach adopted by the General Directorate of Civil Protection, which is based on establishing a culture of direct field evaluation and continuous communication with operational bases, ensuring enhanced integration between the central and local levels, and strengthening logistical and human capabilities, in order to improve public service and achieve high readiness and a rapid and effective response to various dangers and disasters.
