Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, on a working visit to Switzerland

The Director-General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Bouglaf, representing the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Urban Planning, participated in the activities of the eighth session of the Global Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025, organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and hosted by the Government of Switzerland in Geneva, from June 2 to 6, 2025.
The Director General of this forum is accompanied by Mr. Abdel Hamid Afra, National Delegate for Major Risks, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Algeria to Switzerland.
Organized under the theme: “Every Day Matters, Let’s Work Today for Resilience,” this global event is a key opportunity for Member States and all stakeholders to come together at the global level to address issues related to disaster risk reduction and strengthening the resilience of societies in the face of disasters.
It is also worth noting that the Director General of Civil Protection is participating in the high-level ministerial roundtable entitled: “Safe Schools Now: Protecting Every Child from Disasters and Climate Risks”, where the Director General will present an intervention on the Algerian experience in securing schools from disaster risks.
