The Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelouf, participated in the proceedings of the meeting of the National Committee for Forest Protection (CNPF), held at the headquarters of the Directorate General of Forests, under the supervision of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, and in the presence of various partners and concerned bodies. This meeting was dedicated to preparing for the 2026 forest fire prevention and control campaign.

The Deputy Director of Operational Planning
The Deputy Director of Statistics and Media
During the meeting, the Deputy Director of Operational Planning presented a paper entitled: “The 2026 Forest Fire Control Campaign,” which addressed several key themes, notably:
▪ Prevention and Awareness
▪ Preparation and Readiness
▪ The Operational Framework for Forest Fire Control

The meeting also included a review of the 2025 forest fire statistics, as well as a discussion of the various organizational and operational measures to be taken in preparation for the 2026 forest fire prevention and control campaign. Emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen coordination among the various relevant sectors to ensure greater preparedness and effectiveness during the upcoming summer season.
