As part of efforts to enhance prevention and effective intervention regarding forest fires, the Civil Protection Directorate of Tipaza Province hosted a practical training session this morning in its lecture hall. The session focused on the use of a digital application designed for monitoring forest fires.
The training was facilitated by officials from the Algerian Space Agency and the General Directorate of Civil Protection. Participants received explanations and practical demonstrations on mechanisms for pinpointing fire locations, exchanging information among relevant agencies, and utilizing geographic data and satellite imagery to assess the extent of fire damage.
This initiative aims to strengthen field coordination and advance digital and technological tools, thereby contributing to a rapid and effective response to forest fires and ensuring the protection of citizens and property.
